1 Navagio Beach, Zakynthos

This is perhaps the most famous beach in Greece. It is a beach on the island Zakynthos in the Ionian Sea, and it has it all. Framed by towering vertical cliffs, the beach boasts azure waters, pure, perfect sand, and even a shipwreck. The beach is only accessible via boat, but the waters immediately offshore in summer are chock-a-block with sightseeing cruises.

2 Voidokilia Beach, Messinia

This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. In fact, the beach’s beauty is even mentioned by Homer, the ancient Greek poet. This natural bay is of unique beauty. There is fine white sand covering a wide area, from side to side of the beach. The water is calm, turquoise, and exotic. On the left, as you look at the sea, you can see Paleocastro and the cave of Nestor. On your right, at the other side of Voidokilia over the hill, lies a vaulted tomb attributed to Thrasymedes, son of Nestor.

3 Elafonisi Beach, Crete

Located in the southwestern part of Crete, Elafonisi is a natural beauty. Thus it is the island’s most famous beach. The beach’s fine pink-white sand, turquoise water, and gentle rose dunes look like a magical dreamscape. Opposite Elafonisi’s long, wide strand lies the Elafonisi Islet, occasionally connected by a thin, sandy isthmus, creating a lovely double beach.

4 Potami Beach, Samos

The long, tranquil beach of colorful shells and crystal-clear water in the mouth of a mountain river is one of Northern Samos’ most attractive. Furthermore, Potami’s beach bar is one of the best, too. Trekking up the river, you’ll reach a chain of waterfalls and pools, as well as a taverna hidden in the woods. So, if you are looking for a more adventurous day at the beach, Potami beach is your destination.

5 Alykes beach, Ammouliani

This is one of the most popular beaches of Ammouliani island in Halkidiki. There are three locations arranged with umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach where you can dine. The beach is covered with fine sand, and the entrance to the water is very smooth, the water reaching 1.60 meters at a distance of 50 meters from the shore. It is very suitable for families with children because the entrance is very smooth. Usually, the sea is very calm in this bay.
